Pathasala was established in September 2017 as a separate project of the Nepalese Society of Tasmania. The aim of Pathasala is to teach Nepali language and culture to the kids from Nepali origin and make them connected to the home and family back in Nepal. We run classes for two groups starting from the age of three. Started from a humble beginning as classes were run in an office room but now it is running in Cosgrove high school in Glenorchy. The classes run as per the Austrian school calendar with approximately 40 classes in a year. The classes are run by the volunteers or parents and is not a formal school but we have tried to structure the information that we provide. If you need any further information or would like to volunteer as a tutor or enrol the kids, please send your details to email.
