Our Events

We were contacted by a few community members regarding the increasing assaults faced by them. Without having a proper support and guidance, community members were having difficulty in making their voice heard.

Keeping community safety at heart and with an aim of providing them information of their rights, reporting platforms, along with reaching out to wider community network, NEST organised a information and consultation program with Equal Opportunity Tasmania, Migrant Resource Centre, and Inspector of Glenorchy Police Station on 15^th December 2023

The program was a platform where Police, EOT, MRC got insights about the community sentiment, and frustration and the participants had an opportunity to gather knowledge on their rights, where to report and services available for the victims.
