Our Events

Nepali Society of Tasmania collaborated with the Australian Red Cross and organised a free health education program for Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings at Multicultural Hub Community Centre in Moonah. 

 

The program was facilitated by a Red Cross facilitator and translated by Pathashala educator Sita Maya Shrestha. Participants have gained knowledge about the process and importance of breast screening, eligibility mammograms and information about the causes, symptoms,precautions and cure of cervical cancer and the benefits of tests and screenings for every 5 years.
