This year, to mark the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami (the celebration of Lord Krishna’s birthday), we introduced an exciting new initiative—the Kids Talent Show at the Lindisfarne Community Arts Centre.

The aim of this event was to provide a platform for children from Pathasala to showcase their talents, foster creativity, and boost their confidence. The results were truly inspiring, as our young participants amazed us with their exceptional skills and enthusiasm.

Children were given the freedom to express themselves through a variety of talents, including dancing, singing, drawing, crafting, and more. Adding to the charm of the event, the kids dressed as Krishna and Radha, bringing a vibrant cultural touch to their performances. The event became even more special as the children hosted the show themselves, conducting it beautifully in Nepali and even chanting Bhajans in Sanskrit, showcasing their linguistic abilities and devotion.

The atmosphere was heartwarming and filled with joy as families and the community came together to cheer for the young stars. It was truly soul-satisfying to witness the creativity, confidence, and cultural pride radiating from these little performers.

We are thrilled to announce that this is just the beginning. NEST is committed to making this event even bigger and more inclusive in the coming years. By involving multicultural groups and celebrating our diverse traditions and values, we aim to foster harmony and unity among all communities.
